I'm a little behind in posting this... but I blame the flu-like plague that I brought back from the east coast. We all had a great time at the North American Ornithological Conference in Washington, DC. So many great friends and ornithologists to meet and catch up with! When I get down on the isolating nature of doing a PhD, I have to remind myself that I get to have these epic fun weeks and that's a pretty good trade-off.
Just because I'm delayed, doesn't mean that I'm not still super jazzed about Katie winning the best undergrad poster at the NAOC conference last month! Katie has worked so hard on her honors thesis and struggled through so much lab work and analysis so it's great to see her hard work paying off! (quite literally, cha-ching!)
